Trusted Social Security Lawyer Helping People in the Sarasota, FL Area & Beyond Apply For And Obtain SSDI And SSI Benefits

Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are two of the most important federal benefits programs for disabled Americans who are unable to work. The Social Security Administration (SSA) runs these programs, and has extensive application and evaluation procedures for people who wish to obtain these benefits.

Getting these benefits for yourself or a loved one can be an overwhelming process, but it doesn't have to be. At The Law Firm of Alex Dell, PLLC, we have highly experienced attorneys and a team of knowledgeable, compassionate staff that are helping people nationwide. People turn to our firm because we not only have decades of combined experience handling SSD and SSI claims, but also take the time to make the application process easier for our clients. Unlike many law firms, our social security lawyer helps people with their SSD/SSI cases from the beginning, starting with their initial application. We are prepared to help guide you throughout the entire process. Contact us today to schedule a consultation in the Sarasota, FL area.

Your family deserves to focus on important health-related matters, not filing paperwork and dealing with the SSA. Learn why you need an experienced lawyer for your case, or call our office toll free at 866-965-2667 to speak with a social security lawyer.

How to Qualify for Social Security Disability

In order to qualify for Social Security Disability, you must have worked long enough (and recently enough) under Social Security to qualify for benefits. Social Security work credits are based on your total wages or self-employment income each year. You can earn up to four credits every year; the amount needed to receive credit changes each year, and the number of work credits you need to qualify for disability benefits will depend on your age when you first become disabled. In most cases, you need 40 credits, 20 of which were earned in the last 10 years, ending in the year you become disabled. However, there are cases in which younger workers may qualify with fewer credits. An experienced social security lawyer can help you navigate this process.

Your Guide At Every Stage Of The Application Process

Whether you've been told by a friend or family member to look into SSD/SSI benefits, have started the application process but have become overwhelmed, or need assistance with an appeal, we are here to help you.

When you meet with our social security lawyers, we can explain the specific benefits that SSD and SSI can provide in your case, as well as the eligibility criteria for both. We will help you submit your application to the SSA, and if it is necessary to appeal a denied claim, we will be with you every step of the way to help you obtain these important benefits.
