Lisa Tumminelli

Lisa Tumminelli is the Social Security Managing Attorney for the Social Security Department. She has practiced Social Security Law for 33 years, and she still loves what she does !

Lisa received her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in Political Science from Catholic University of America. She received her law degree from Albany Law School where she won the Statewide Gabrielli Competition for appellate practice.

Prior to joining the firm in 2023, Lisa was a partner at Silverman Silverman and Seligman where she practiced both Social Security and Workers Compensation law. For the last 15 years of her practice there, she practiced solely Social Security law.

Lisa is admitted to practice before the New York State Courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. She is prior Chair and contributing speaker to the Social Security Section of American Trial Lawyers Association (now known as American Association for Justice). She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives and has been a lecturer for this group at its national conference . Lisa wrote “Proof of Social Security Disability” , American Jurisprudence: Proof of Facts 3d Series.
