Genelle Johnson Bayer joined the Law Firm of Alex Dell in August, 2014. She is the full time attorney at the firm’s Plattsburgh office, where she represents claimants in Workers’ Compensation cases. Genelle enjoys the variety of clients and issues involved in Workers’ Compensation cases, and is always concerned about how the people with the most to lose are at the greatest risk of being taken advantage of by the system. While Genelle only handles Workers’ Compensation cases, she enjoys looking at the broader picture and coordinating benefits with the Firm’s other practice areas, including Social Security Disability, New York State Disability Retirement and Veterans benefits.
Genelle was admitted as an attorney in the State of New York in April, 2007. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Law. Genelle served as an attorney with Legal Aid of Nebraska from 1998 to 2007. She began in the area of Workers’ Compensation law as an associate attorney with Lekki Hill Duprey & Bhatt PC in Canton, NY, from 2007 to 2014Genelle is both a pianist and a violinist. She graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, with a Bachelors of Music, and went on to earn a Masters of Music from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While she plays occasionally, she acknowledges that being a musician requires a significant degree of discipline and dedication, and the primary focus of her discipline and dedication these days is the practice of law.
